Merick has almost two years of experience working in disability support, assisting individuals with Down syndrome, wheelchair users, and participants with a range of other disabilities. He supports people with daily tasks and personal needs, while encouraging and guiding them to actively engage within the community.
He also has one year and four months of experience working as an Education Support Officer at Wodonga Middle Years College, where he supported disadvantaged students from Years 7–9 to reach their academic goals, build confidence in social interactions, and succeed in their schooling.
Merick is currently working with LifeStyle Disability Support, assisting individuals with additional needs by promoting independence, fostering inclusion, supporting daily living activities, and engaging participants in enjoyable and meaningful community-based activities.
